General Basic

Hi everyone ,

Welcome to Nano-tech-VLSI. This page is mainly related to the VLSI (electronics). As we all know that each and every person now a day is using more than two or more electronic products. And as technology advances portable devices emerges.

Each and every product now a day comes with a electronic gadget  starting automobiles , mobiles, TV's , Computers etc...

There are some students who are very keen towards electronics especially VLSI. So I am gonna post VLSI related books , documents etc. I hope this blog may help many graduates who are in a confusion towards electronics domain.

So , if you have any doubts related VLSI (Frontend - Backend (RTL-GDS) ) please fell free to ask. Not only Vlsi if you have any doubts related electronics please post.

I am going to show you a simple overview of VLSI-ASIC flow.

This section intends to document the steps taken in the first stage of this dissertation. The Vlsi design flow can be divided into two major flows called : Front End Design flow and Back End Design flow.

Frontend flow
The frontend flow is responsible to determine a solution for a given problem or opportunity and transform into a RTL circuit description.
Backend Flow

The backend process is responsible for the physical implementation of a circuit. It transforms the RTL circuit description into a physical design, composed by gates and its interconnections. The main phases of the backend process are synthesis and place&route.

Each step is done by running Tcl (tool Command Language) scripts that execute commands on the corresponding synopsys tool.

As I am a man with experience in Physical design I will post backend related information mostly. But soon I will be updating Front end related info also.
